Embrace yourself for the first ever 1000+ HP Chevrolet Camaro

As we inspected last time, Hennessey's Camaro ZL1's portfolio made a halt at 750 horses. With the Texan tuning house always trying something different with the car's power, we should always be geared up to unveil the new surprises.

On a specific note, Vengeance Racing has worked wonders to further advance the ZL1, managing to bring about the power equivalent to 1,145 horses. As we focus our attention on the rear wheel horsepower here, the output generated at the crank lies in between 1,300 and 1,400 hp whereas the rear wheel torque lies at a mighty 1,109 lb-ft.

To accomplish this uphill upgrade, Vengeance Racing incorporated the car with F-1A-94 supercharger system. The indomitable power generated by ZL1 is handled by the car’s 10-speed automatic transmission which is complimented by the standard LT4 block.  A Camaro ZL1 will hit 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and hits a top speed of 190 mph, so you could only envisage the potential performance this beast could achieve.

The car is enriched with the goodness of VR1100, generating a robust sound tearing up the dyno which is an absolute aural incursion. For now, the company has not released any performance figures for the VR1100, but it commits to unleash ZL1 on the roads soon.

The monster car’s price is yet to be disclosed. As the standard Camaro ZL1 costs $62,000, we assume that the car will be launched well over $70,000.
